At a very young age ,Dr Jagdish sethi is heading the biggest centre for kidney transplant in North India and one of the biggest in india individually for the last 10 years with one of the best results in the world.
Dr Jagdish sethi has a huge experience of about 2500 kidney transplants which can only be imagined by most of the surgeons.
Dr sethi has been associated dedicatedly with kidney transplant with various prestigious centres around the world.
Dr sethi has huge training experience of about 1000 transplants at PGIMER Chandigarh where he trained from 2008 to 2011.
He has international experience of kidney transplant at John hunter hospital ,NSW Australia where he worked from 2012..2013.
Thereafter he worked at head of the department,kidney transplant at various centre of tricity before finally joining Max hospital ,mohali in 2014.
Dr sethi has been associated with Max hospitals kidney transplant programme since it's early days and has taken it to the top in 10 years.
During his 10 years at max hospital ,he is doing about 150 transplants per years which is reaching to 200 per year this year and has done about 1500 transplants individually by now.
Dr sethi is also the only surgeon in North India and only one of the handful surgeons across world to be running successful ROBOTIC KIDNEY TRANSPLANT programme ..
He has a vast experience of doing ABOin compatible transplants which is the transplant in patients with different blood group having done about 200 such transplants.
Only surgeon outside PGI in North India to be running successful Paediatric kidney transplant programme.
He is the surgeon to have done kidney transplants in HIV patients.
Also, successful restored kidney transplant which is transplant from donors with kidney cancer and transplanting after removing the cancer.
Recently ,also started with deceased donor/cadeveric kidney transplant ,thus making Max hospital to be the only centre in North India to provide all types of kidney transplant including PGIMER ,chandigarh.
Dr sethi also has a huge experience of doing nephrectomies(removal of kidneys)having done about 2700 laproscopically.
